Senior Car Parking, Portering & Security Supervisor – newly created post at University Hospitals North Midlands NHS Trust. This role is offered with no sponsorship; applicants on a graduate visa must have at least six months remaining on their visa at the start of employment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the 24/7 service team, primarily Mon‑Fri but available for security events and shift work as required.
- Provide efficient car parking and portering service in partnership with the Trust’s Fire Safety and Security teams.
- Liaise with wards, departments and service providers to ensure a consistent, customer‑focused approach.
- Monitor SLAs and compliance, keeping adequate records for audit, KPI and performance reporting.
- Coordinate, develop and train the operational team on routine, scheduled and ad‑hoc tasks, ensuring all staff have appropriate training and systems.
- Investigate incidents, recommend improvements and maintain the highest level of security and customer service.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate in Control & Restraint / Conflict Resolution (SIA or accredited).
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a security setting.
- Experience within a healthcare environment (desirable).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read and write in English.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Customer Service or recognised qualification in Leadership (desirable).
- Positive mindset supporting organisational change and continuous improvement.
Contract & Remuneration
- Permanent full‑time role, Band 4.
- Salary £27,485‑£30,162 per year pro‑rata.
- Location County Hospital, Weston Road, Stafford, ST16 3SA.
