Associate Practitioner Band 4 in the UHNM Pathology Laboratory, working within the Virology Laboratories. Successful candidate will be required to participate in weekend and bank holiday rotas.

Responsibilities

We are seeking applications from self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals. The AP team provide support to the Biomedical Scientist staff working within the laboratory. Qualifications

Essential Education and Qualifications
  • Good general education demonstrated by GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C in maths, English and a Science subject
  • NVQ Level 3 in Clinical Laboratory Support or equivalent
  • Evidence of continued professional development

  • Degree in related subject
ExperienceEssential
  • Familiarity with Pathology IT systems
  • Previous experience of working in a laboratory setting

  • Experience of working in the NHS
  • Experience in a pathology setting
  • Experience with molecular testing
