We are looking for 2 permanent part‑time (18.45 hours) People Advisors to work within our established People Operations team at UHNM. The role requires a L5 Diploma in Human Resources Management (or equivalent CIPD accredited qualification) and demonstrable experience working in Human Resources.
Main Duties
- Deliver advice and guidance in line with legislation, UHNM policies and NHS terms and conditions on a wide range of issues, including sickness absence management, disciplinary, performance and resolution.
- Coach managers through formal sickness, resolution, conduct and capability processes.
- Help clinical teams understand people issues by producing reports using Trust systems and work with the People Business Partner to understand trends in the Division.
- Manage workload, apply compassion, tact and diplomacy to difficult situations, and know when to escalate.
- Use Microsoft Office and bespoke systems.
- Operate autonomously, leading own caseload.

Essential Qualifications
- CIPD Level 5 Diploma in HR Management or equivalent CIPD accredited qualification
- Associate Membership of the CIPD

Essential Experience
- Experience dealing with a range of people issues within a unionised environment
- Experience conducting investigations, grievance and sickness management casework
- Experience in effective case management
- Experience contributing to development of policies and procedures
- Experience analysing HR data and producing HR reports
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within the Healthcare sector
Essential Knowledge, abilities and skills
- Knowledge of Employment Law and its application in the workplace
- Ability to deal with difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to develop positive working relationships
- Ability to collect, collate and analyse information to enable informed decisions
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications
