PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: The Senior Graphic Designer supports and elevates the creative direction of Make Events, working in close collaboration with the Head of Design to deliver ambitious, high-quality design across live experiences, campaigns, and internal initiatives. The role brings bold ideas to life across digital and print, balancing creative ambition with exceptional attention to detail and a clear understanding of how design works in the real world. It is a hands-on, multidisciplinary position that thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, where ideas are shared, challenged, and refined to create meaningful, memorable experiences that truly land.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creative Design & Artwork: Lead end-to-end creative delivery across print, digital, branding, events, and environmental graphics — translating briefs into high-quality, print-ready concepts, presentations, pitch decks, and multi-format assets while ensuring brand compliance and visual excellence.
- Project & Team Collaboration: Support creative resourcing and scheduling, brief and oversee junior designers and freelancers, and collaborate cross-functionally with events, marketing, and sales teams to deliver high-quality, deadline-driven solutions.
- Pitch & Proposal Development: Develop compelling, visually consistent proposal decks and pitch materials, contributing innovative ideas through brainstorming and creative development sessions.
- Onsite & Operational Support: Oversee brand and design execution at live events, manage supplier and print production processes, and contribute to post-event reviews to continuously improve standards and delivery.
- Marketing & Internal Support: Partner with Marketing to deliver print and digital collateral, campaigns, internal communications, and company-wide branding initiatives to a high standard.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Years in a creative/design role, ideally within events or agency settings.
- Strong portfolio showcasing creativity and conceptual thinking.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of print production and materials.
- Experience juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
- Team leadership and feedback experience.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication and organisational skills.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- Video editing proficiency.
- Animation or 3D visualisation experience.
- Onsite event experience.
