Purpose of the role

The Project Manager will be a key player in delivering creative, high-quality events that reflect Make Events' brand values. This role involves managing event projects from brief to execution, ensuring seamless delivery and client satisfaction. The successful candidate will combine creative flair with meticulous attention to detail, working closely with clients, internal teams, and suppliers to create memorable experiences. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in supporting larger projects while independently leading smaller-scale events, always maintaining a client-first approach and delivering the ultimate experience.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Take inbound enquiries from your existing clients and potential new clients and confidently manage the briefing process with internal teams, third party suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Provide creative solutions and ensure the message and identity of the business runs through every proposal created for your clients, including thorough and detailed budgets.
  • Present and pitch either alone or in a team to win new business / events and take to contract stage.
  • Organise and facilitate creative meetings with your line manager and wider team where required, enabling and overseeing creative content solutions for your events as well as supporting material for projects.
  • Provide input to your teams' larger scale events.
  • Advising on technical requirements and stay up to date on the latest trends in the industry.
  • Full production management of all event logistics from conception to roll out for your events.
  • Provide support for larger scale projects which are owned by a Senior Project Manager or Project Director.
  • Full responsibility for managing the delivery of your clients' event including oversight of delivery team on your event.
  • Ensure the ultimate experience for your clients, venues and suppliers and provide regular detailed feedback and magic touches to all.
  • Adhere to Make Events processes and procedures at all times.
  • Contribute to the wider business vision and strategy.

Role Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in an events agency
  • Proven track record in project managing conferences, awards, and celebrations
  • Strong written, verbal, and people management skills
  • Financial and commercial awareness
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel (UK & overseas)
  • Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as required
