Make Believe is a performing arts organization founded in 2004 by Joel Kern. Our aim is to develop and build on the confidence and self-esteem of 3500 students attending our classes weekly, whilst teaching them life skills. We have an international presence in the UK and Australia, providing a full-service creative hub including production, talent management, and events. Our client base includes companies such as Intu Shopping Centres, Saatchi & Saatchi, Haribo, Nike, Samsung, and Coca-Cola. We have produced shows at The O2, Elstree Studios, and Novello Theatre. Students have gone on to star in theatre productions such as Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The King & I, and Thriller Live. We manage educational programmes for our partners throughout China, welcoming students annually from Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzhen, and Shanghai. Since our establishment, we have welcomed over 25,000 young people to the Make Believe journey.

We are hiring a Drama / Singing teacher for part-time onsite roles located in England, United Kingdom. You will be responsible for coaching students in enhancing their abilities in performance while providing a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in teaching Singing, Acting, and children and young adults
  • Hold a qualification in Performing Arts or related field; an equivalent professional qualification can also be considered
  • Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work well in a team and manage groups
  • A passion for performing arts and education
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters, work under pressure and deliver to tight deadlines
  • DBS certificate (or the willingness to obtain one)
  • Ability to start on Tuesday 9th January in Twickenham from 5:30-8:30pm and ideally commit to the end of Spring Term
