Make-A-Wish UK is looking for a passionate and driven Corporate Partnerships Manager to help us deliver life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. Qualifications

  • Sound knowledge of trends in the professional fundraising environment, fundraising regulator guidance and best practice
  • Experience of account managing high value partnerships and cultivating relationships to achieve income growth
  • Ability to write and deliver compelling presentations/proposals
  • Evidence of creative thinking and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record for collaborative working and building sustainable relationships at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Track record of managing budgets and allocating resources effectively and efficiently to deliver objectives
  • Experience of working autonomously in order to achieve a target as well as in a team to support the delivery of team objectives
  • Demonstrable understanding of commercial participator agreements and best practice on how these are developed and managed
  • Experience in managing new product development or innovation processes
  • Excellent research, prospecting, and planning skills with the ability to identify key trends and develop clear responses
  • Experience of national fundraising campaigns

Responsibilities

Partnership Delivery

  • Deliver a portfolio of corporate partnerships, ensuring all commitments are delivered whilst identifying opportunities to increase the value of long-standing relationships.
  • Meet an agreed annual income target from existing accounts and ensure that the correct legal requirements are implemented to protect the charity.
  • Plan and design an engagement plan and a personalised suite of communications for partners, utilising and building on materials used across Make-A-Wish.
  • Employ the optimum corporate fundraising tools when working with corporate partners to ensure the best possible outcome (CRM, Charity of the Year, Employee Fundraising, Sponsorship, Gift in Kind).

Relationship Management

  • Attend meetings with corporate partners to ensure the relationship is well-managed and benefits both parties.
  • Liaise with the Head of Corporate and Strategic Partnerships for any partnership issues that require intervention.
  • Work closely with the Senior New Business Manager to ensure the transition between new business and account management is seamless for both Make-A-Wish and the new partner as well as including for any growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Brand & Communications team on building a Communications & PR strategy that incorporates partnership features, celebrates partnership milestones and successes both internally and externally, nationally, and locally.
  • Work with the Community Volunteering team to assist in the implementation of the corporate volunteering offer as necessary.
  • Develop effective working relationships with Wishgranting teams to produce impact reports for partners to demonstrate the impact of their support, ensuring corporate partners receive regular and accurate feedback, and continually look at ways to improve reporting process and increase impact.
  • If appropriate, identify charity champions within regional offices and explore how to engage and activate at a local level.

Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Undertake administrative responsibilities related to existing partners including recording income, producing invoices, ensuring all funding agreements are signed and returned on time.
  • Assist the Head of Corporate and Strategic Partnerships to manage the existing Corporate Partnerships budget, reporting against this monthly.
  • Responsibility to include support with budget setting, forecasting and analysis of income and expenditure, ensuring within budget.
  • Ensure Salesforce is kept up-to-date and relevant information is captured and stored to allow us to measure income and other partnership KPIs.
  • Ensure charity law, fundraising and GDPR regulations and professional codes and standards are always adhered to.

Organisational responsibilities

  • Within Make-A-Wish's performance & growth framework “Being Brilliant” initiate regular conversations with your line manager when you discuss your role objectives, personal development, wellbeing, and other topics.
  • Complete one Wish Discovery (meeting the wish children and their family to help them explore what their wish could be) and one fundraising event a year.
  • Attend whole organisation meetings like monthly symposium and townhall as well as ad-hoc training opportunities as required; and as much as possible attend social events happening twice a year.

This is not meant to be an exhaustive list of duties. The need for flexibility is required and the post holder is expected to carry out any other related duties including some evening, weekend and overnight stays that are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
