MAK Jobs is recruiting a Transport Administrator / Operations Coordinator on behalf of our client. This role involves front-desk responsibilities and direct interaction with drivers, making it well-suited to individuals with strong organisational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining seamless operational flow.
The successful candidate will undergo training during the initial two weeks on the morning shift (06:00 - 14:00), followed by a permanent transition to the night shift thereafter.
Location: Rugby, CV23
Salary: £14.21 per hour / Overtime £18.47 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - 22:00 - 06:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with drivers and managing front-desk operations.
- Booking and despatching drivers efficiently.
- Performing accurate data entry.
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure coordinated and effective logistics processes.
- Preparing and maintaining detailed reports.
- Maintaining organised and accurate files and records.
- Providing support for daily operational activities within the transport department.
- Fostering and sustaining positive relationships with customers.
- Conducting thorough shift handovers to facilitate operational continuity.
- Undertaking any additional administrative duties as required.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in a comparable administrative role within transport, logistics, or a related field.
- Sound knowledge of goods-in and goods-out procedures.
- Strong numerical and organisational skills.
- Excellent customer service capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
