MAK Jobs has an exciting opportunity for a National Account Sales professional to join our client, a leading international Truck & Bus tyre manufacturer in the UK.
We are seeking an experienced National Field-Based Sales professional to drive the sale and promotion of premium Truck & Bus Radial (TBR) products to nationally operating truck fleet operators across the UK. This is a key field sales role focused on managed sales development, achieving ambitious targets, and building long-term strategic relationships within the truck fleet sector.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed area sales targets for all promoted TBR products in line with the management team plan.
- Develop end-user truck fleet customers nationally to deliver targeted business results.
- Work collaboratively within the dedicated TBR team, supporting Regional Sales Managers to enhance fleet approaches and develop individual fleet account management.
- Provide timely market intelligence on pricing, promotions, staffing changes, and business trends to the line management team.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic and targeted customers in the fleet operators marketplace.
- Develop and implement national fleet tyre management plans within available resources.
- Maintain professional brand representation and clear, concise customer records using company systems.
- Be flexible with travel, including nights away from home as required to support customer development.
Requirements
- Education: A-level or higher, supported by industry-related training qualifications.
- Experience: 5-10 years of field-based national sales experience, ideally within the tyre, automotive, or commercial vehicle sector.
- Knowledge & Skills: Strong understanding of the Truck Fleet market. Proven ability to build and implement tyre management plans for truck fleet operations. Demonstrable success in developing long-term customer relationships in both truck OEM and fleet operator markets. Excellent sales ability, verbal communication, numerical competence, and IT skills (MS Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint). Self-motivated with strong time management and the ability to work outside normal office hours when required. Willingness to travel nationally and maintain the highest professional standards.
