We're partnering with a brilliant independent creative agency working on a playful and stylised video campaign for a well-known logistics and infrastructure brand. They're creating a series of short, animated films with surreal, character-driven visuals - combining Mid-journey-generated imagery with After Effects magic. The first film is already underway, and they need a freelance Motion Designer to pick things up and bring the rest of the series to life. It's a perfect brief for someone who loves narrative-led animation, fast-paced edits, and experimental visual work flows.
Key Responsibilities
- Animate and edit short-form brand content using Adobe After Effects
- Work with AI-generated visual assets (Mid-journey, Topaz) and maintain style continuity
- Refine animation pacing, movement, and transitions based on a written treatment and feedback
- Integrate audio (music and SFX) using Artlist and supplied libraries
- Apply masking, colour correction, and light compositing as needed
- Deliver 1 video every few days, with a full series completion by mid-July
Skills & Experience
- Expert-level proficiency in After Effects
- Experience working with AI imagery/video (e.g. Mid-journey, Topaz Video AI, Runway)
- Strong narrative instincts and ability to match an existing animation style
- Confident working with character-led or collage-style visuals
- Able to integrate music/SFX and manage final polish
- Familiarity with file handover work-flows and managing client amends
