Super exciting opportunity for a Freelance E-Commerce & Optimisation Manager to join a unique & leading home brand, at a time of huge growth. This role is 2 days per week. They are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, immediately available candidate to join their team ASAP and get stuck in.
Key Responsibilities
- Organic Growth & Conversion Optimisation:
- Improve on-site user experience (UX) and conversion rate optimisation (CRO) to increase revenue and engagement.
- Manage and coordinate updates with external web development agencies to enhance site speed, user experience, and feature rollouts.
- Develop a data-driven testing roadmap for A/B testing, heatmaps, and session recordings to reduce friction across the omnichannel journey.
- Own the SEO strategy (technical and content) to drive organic traffic growth and search ranking improvements.
- Ensure earned media placements drive traffic and SEO value by acquiring backlinks, improving affiliate conversion rates, and increasing digital press mentions and domain authority.
- Track performance metrics such as referral traffic, cost per acquisition (CPA), and affiliate growth.
- Oversee desktop UX improvements including navigation, homepage design, site search, and checkout flow enhancements.
- Implement mobile-first design strategies to enhance touch interactions, page speed, and mobile conversion rates.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as time on page, checkout abandonment rates, conversion rate by traffic source, as well as CAC, LTV, and ROAS.
- Lead and optimise the referral programme by testing referral incentives, tracking referral-driven revenue, and refining customer segmentation.
- Support digital paid media teams with insights and landing page optimisation to improve customer acquisition costs (CAC), return on ad spend (ROAS), and lifetime value (LTV).
- Familiarity with affiliate marketing strategies and referral programmes.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support technical SEO improvements.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in eCommerce, CRO, SEO, and UX optimisation.
- Strong knowledge of Shopify, Google Analytics, and A/B testing tools (e.g., Google Optimize, Hotjar, VWO).
- Ability to manage external web developers and coordinate site updates.
- Deep understanding of SEO best practices (technical and content), including keyword research, link building, and content optimisation.
- Experience in data-driven decision-making, CRO methodologies, and user behaviour analysis.
- Strong analytical mindset with expertise in tracking attribution, conversion rates, and funnel performance.
Salary & Benefits :
- Depending on experience but within the freelance equivalent of 50K-55K per annum
Location & Workplace Policy
- 2-3 days per week in offices in Central London
