An established and successful manufacturer within the aluminium window, door, and façade industry is seeking an experienced Aluminium Production Manager to lead operations at one of its specialist manufacturing facilities in the North West. The site focuses on the fabrication of large-scale aluminium window and glazing projects and is supported by a skilled, long-standing workforce. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of production performance, quality, and delivery within a growing and well-invested window manufacturing business.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
The Role
Working closely with the Factory Supervisor and senior management, the Aluminium Production Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of production operations. The successful candidate will drive productivity, ensure delivery programmes are achieved, and maintain the highest quality standards expected within the window industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily production operations within an aluminium window manufacturing environment
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
- Coordinate fabrication and assembly of aluminium windows, doors, and glazing systems to optimise workflow
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes
- Monitor productivity, output, and inventory using SAP or similar ERP systems
- Implement and maintain robust quality control procedures to ensure products meet specification
- Oversee goods-in and goods-out processes
- Liaise with supply chain teams to ensure materials are available to meet production schedules
- Train, support, and develop production staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and accountability
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in a production management role within the window manufacturing industry
- Strong technical understanding of aluminium window, door, or façade fabrication processes
- Experience implementing continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
- Knowledge of quality control systems and manufacturing standards
- Competent user of SAP or comparable ERP/production systems
- Candidates currently working in the uPVC window industry in a similar management role will also be considered
