Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to join an established FMCG business. As part of the ongoing growth plan, you will be an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team. This is a challenging role where the successful Operations Manager has the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the performance of the business. You will need to be proactive with a strong bias for action, be commercially astute, able to prioritise and communicate, and be comfortable managing a site operation. It is essential that you have experience in a similar position or are an experienced Senior/Production Manager looking to progress your career as an Operations Manager and are comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy.
Monday – Friday
Salary up to £80,000 d.o.e
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Daily management of the full manufacturing process.
- Work with all areas on manufacturing to set financial metrics, labour, budget.
- Work on CI and lean manufacturing processes with the SLT.
- Working with the site Technical Team with factory audits, GMP, BRC, Supplier.
- Reviewing the performance of all reporting functions – developing teams and streamlining processes.
- Work within the company values (Pioneering, Indulgent, Ethical).
- Be a role model in terms of how to collaborate and influence in order to achieve improved performance.
- Oversight of production volumes, site efficiency, quality assurance, health & safety.
- Maximise profitability, drive operational excellence and develop continuous improvement strategies for production.
- Carrying out KPI review, implementation.
- Work on developing a succession plan.
- Carrying out performance reviews with management.
- Lead the application of our high quality, legal and safety standards across all production and operation areas.
- Develop and lead a high-performing team to ensure the highest standards are delivered and provide guidance and coaching for those responsible for the day-to-day production operations.
- Prioritise our guiding principles of Value, Quality, people, and innovation.
- Chair HSE meetings.
- Establish initiatives that ensure the most effective return for the resources.
- Implement and maintain systems and processes that seek continuous improvements in all manufacturing activities.
- Work collaboratively with support functions to ensure the effective running of the production areas.
