Due to continued expansion and investment, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and electrically biased Multi-Skilled Engineer to join the Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking manufacturing environment where engineering reliability and continuous improvement are at the heart of the operation.
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off rotating shifts. Typical working hours: 12:00 - 00:00, 07:00 - 19:00 (occasionally). During quieter periods, shifts may move to: 09:00 - 21:00.
The Role: As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will support the planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance of production machinery and site equipment, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the facility. You will work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime, improve machinery performance, and contribute to ongoing continuous improvement projects across the site.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a range of machinery and equipment
- Diagnose faults quickly using effective fault-finding techniques and implement efficient repairs
- Minimise downtime through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work collaboratively with production teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and planned downtime
- Maintain equipment to optimum operational standards
- Assist with the installation, commissioning, and modification of new machinery and equipment
- Manage and maintain critical spare parts inventory, including ordering replacement components
- Ensure all engineering activities are carried out safely and in line with health & safety regulations
- Accurately record maintenance activities using CMMS systems
- Continuously develop technical knowledge and stay up to date with industry best practices
About You: The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within a manufacturing, production, FMCG, or food processing environment
- A recognised electrical qualification such as: City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, HNC/ONC, 18th Edition, Electrical Apprenticeship
- Strong electrical skills with mechanical competence
- PLC fault-finding and diagnostics experience
- Experience using CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems)
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the business
- Good English communication skills (minimum B2 level)
- A strong commitment to health & safety standards
- The ability to prioritise workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
