What\’s on Offer Permanent contract from day one Choice of shifts to suit your lifestyle: Days (6am – 6pm): £13.50 per hour, rising to £15.65 after training Nights (6pm – 6am): £15.00 per hour, rising to £16.80 after training 4 on 4 off shift pattern Immediate start Weekly pay Health cover and pension scheme Progression and upskilling opportunities Site located near public transport links About the Role As a Machine Operator, you\’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of slicing and packaging machinery. You\’ll contribute to production efficiency, food safety, and team performance, while also maintaining high standards of hygiene and operational excellence. Key duties include: Setting up and operating slicers, impingers, film lifters, and line components Managing production changeovers and start-up processes Monitoring equipment condition and product quality Acting as Team Leader when required, supporting team operations Replenishing line materials and ensuring correct PPE is used Ensuring traceability and accurate labelling of rework Adhering strictly to health & safety and hygiene protocols Supporting the training and development of other operatives What We\’re Looking For Previous experience in a Machine Operator, this is essential please do not apply without this Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety practices A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when required Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality About the Employer Our client is one of the UK\’s most prominent food manufacturers, operating across multiple sites nationwide.
