We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Manager to lead a dual-registered service regulated by both CQC and Ofsted. This is a key leadership role responsible for the safe, compliant, and effective management of a specialist home supporting children and/or young people, with potential overlap into adult care depending on service model.
Candidates must have experience working within CQC-regulated services, Ofsted-regulated children's homes, or both. Applicants with strong experience in either framework will be considered, provided they demonstrate the ability and willingness to manage dual compliance.
- Key Responsibilities
- Provide strong, visible leadership across the service, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care at all times.
- Maintain full regulatory compliance with CQC and/or Ofsted, including preparation for inspections and audits.
- Act as the Registered Manager with the relevant regulatory bodies.
- Develop, lead, and support a skilled multidisciplinary staff team.
- Embed safeguarding, risk management, and quality assurance processes.
- Ensure robust care planning, placement matching, and outcomes-focused practice.
- Manage budgets, occupancy, rotas, and resources effectively.
- Lead on recruitment, supervision, appraisal, and staff development.
- Build positive relationships with commissioners, families, professionals, and external agencies.
- Drive continuous improvement and service development.
- Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or senior leader within:
- A children's residential home (Ofsted) and/or
- A CQC-regulated service.
- Strong working knowledge of Ofsted and/or CQC regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrable experience of achieving or working towards Good or Outstanding outcomes.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Residential Childcare or Adult Care), or willingness to complete.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Thorough understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and quality standards.
- Ability to manage complex needs and challenging behaviours.

- Experience managing dual-registered services.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, LD, Autism, EBD, or mental health needs.
- Track record of service improvement, turnaround, or new service registration.
