The Role
This is a senior leadership position with real influence across the organisation. Reporting to the CFO and stepping in as required, you will take ownership of the day-to-day Finance function, ensuring strong financial control, governance and insight while supporting long-term strategic goals. You’ll work closely with the Leadership Team and Board, contributing to major decisions and helping ensure the business continues to grow in a sustainable, well-governed way.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic & Leadership Contribution
- Act as a senior finance representative across leadership and stakeholder forums
- Support board reporting, investor updates and strategic initiatives
- Contribute to financial strategy, capital planning and long-term value creation
- Partner with senior leaders to support delivery of the wider business strategy
- Provide informed challenge around risk, compliance and investment decisions
- Financial Oversight
- Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and planning processes
- Maintain strong statutory, regulatory and audit compliance
- Oversee cash flow, working capital and treasury activity
- Manage external relationships including auditors, advisors and financial partners
- Drive continuous improvement and finance transformation initiatives, including system enhancements
- Commercial Insight
- Deliver clear financial analysis to support pricing, margins and performance improvement
- Work cross-functionally on business cases and commercial initiatives
- Translate complex data into practical, decision-ready insight
- Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards aligned to business performance
- People Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop a capable and engaged Finance team
- Build future-ready capability within the function
- Encourage a culture of accountability, curiosity and continuous improvement
- Play an active role in shaping leadership culture and organisational values
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong post-qualification experience in a senior finance leadership role
- Background in a high-growth, complex or investor-backed environment is beneficial
- Commercially astute with the ability to influence both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Confident turning strategy into robust financial plans and outcomes
- A credible, collaborative leader who is comfortable operating in a fast-moving business
