School Staffing Solutions are working with a growing construction workforce development pathway, training and vocational assessment provider delivering fully funded industry-focused training and GQA-accredited NVQ qualifications across the UK. Due to significant growth in the NVQ provision, we are looking to recruit an experienced Construction NVQ Assessor to join our team. This is a predominantly remote role. We are focused on quality, learner progression and outcomes rather than where the assessor is physically based. Travel will be required for workplace observations and site visits where deemed necessary if remote assessing isn't possible.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage a caseload of construction NVQ learners from registration through to completion. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing an allocated caseload of NVQ learners.
- Conducting initial assessments and assessment planning.
- Supporting learners to understand and gather appropriate workplace evidence.
- Reviewing and assessing portfolios against qualification requirements.
- Conducting professional discussions and other appropriate assessment activities.
