School Staffing Solutions are working with a secondary SEN school in Wisbech who require a SEN English Teacher to mentor and support their pupils. The school provides high quality learning experiences within a small, focused nurturing environment to secondary school aged children who have an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils, including those with SEND and trauma histories.
- Use assessment data to monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Promote pupils' social, emotional, and academic development through trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning, consistent with the school's behaviour policy and Staff Code of Conduct.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and specialist staff to provide effective support.
The successful candidate will have: Proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
