Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative/ Overhead Crane Operator to join a well-established and busy manufacturing site based in Oldbury. You must have steel industry experience to be considered. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking a stable, full-time role with the potential to secure a permanent contract.
Location: Oldbury
Contract: Temp to Perm
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts (Monday to Friday): 6:00am – 2:00pm, 2:00pm – 10:00pm, 10:00pm – 6:00am. Candidates must be able to work all three rotating shift patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely handling and moving steel tube bundles within the warehouse
- Operating overhead cranes and lifting equipment
- Loading and unloading deliveries and outgoing orders
- Picking, preparing, and dispatching customer orders
- Carrying out quality checks on products before storage and dispatch
- Labelling and tracking stock accurately
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Steel industry
- Overhead crane experience is essential
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Basic computer skills
- Flexible and reliable with a willingness to work rotating shifts
