Our client, a well-established precision engineering manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Quality Manager to lead the quality function and drive continuous improvement across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with strong ISO 9001 experience who enjoys being involved on the shop floor as well as managing systems, audits and quality performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Lead internal and external audits
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business
- Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and root cause investigations
- Monitor quality KPIs and identify improvement opportunities
- Handle customer quality concerns and support supplier quality activities
- Work closely with production, engineering and inspection teams
- Promote a strong quality culture throughout the organisation
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Quality Manager within manufacturing or engineering
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Experience leading internal and external audits
- Hands-on shop floor quality experience
- Experience managing non-conformances and corrective actions
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Precision engineering or machining background
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniques
- Experience within aerospace, automotive, defence or similar sectors
