Our client, a well-established precision engineering manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Quality Manager to lead the quality function and drive continuous improvement across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional with strong ISO 9001 experience who enjoys being involved on the shop floor as well as managing systems, audits and quality performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Lead internal and external audits
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business
  • Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and root cause investigations
  • Monitor quality KPIs and identify improvement opportunities
  • Handle customer quality concerns and support supplier quality activities
  • Work closely with production, engineering and inspection teams
  • Promote a strong quality culture throughout the organisation

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Quality Manager within manufacturing or engineering
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Experience leading internal and external audits
  • Hands-on shop floor quality experience
  • Experience managing non-conformances and corrective actions
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Precision engineering or machining background
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniques
  • Experience within aerospace, automotive, defence or similar sectors
