Major Recruitment is seeking a skilled Laser Cutting Operator to join a well-established company in the Nottingham area, who are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery including Bystronic and BLM systems.
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent | 6am-2pm | 40 hours
Salary: £16-£17 per hour
Their cutting-edge setup includes:
- Flat Laser Cutting – 4 Flatbed Lasers (including a 6m laser with Antil Warehouse System)
- Tube Laser Cutting – 2 tube lasers (cutting up to 152mm diameter)
Key Responsibilities
- Complete all required paperwork accurately, including job cards and drawing checks
- Select and inspect materials according to job specifications and quality standards
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage
- Label all materials and job cards with correct GIN numbers
- Verify quantities and load cut parts accurately onto trolleys or pallets
- Carry out final inspections and stamp job cards to confirm quality
- Follow the “1st off” process, including stamping length, width, and thickness
