Product Manager
Location: Normanton or Sheffield
Salary: 34000pa + Benefits
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hybrid: 3 days office-based per week
Major Recruitment is currently recruiting for an exciting Product Manager opportunity with a well-established organisation.
We’re looking for a commercially minded Product Manager, Buyer or Category Manager with strong experience in supplier management, negotiation, product ranges and sourcing.
The Role
You will take ownership of product ranges and supplier relationships, helping to drive revenue and profitability across multiple sales channels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing product ranges.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Negotiating pricing, rebates, targets and commercial agreements.
- Sourcing and launching new products.
- Developing private-label ranges with UK and international suppliers.
- Managing the product lifecycle, including range rationalisation.
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolving commercial issues.
- Working closely with Purchasing, Marketing, Inventory and Compliance.
- Supporting category plans and identifying new commercial opportunities.
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Experience in Product Management, Buying, Category Management or Procurement.
- Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
- Experience buying from manufacturers and/or major brands.
- Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of profitability.
- Strong analytical, organisational and project management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and build relationships at all levels.
Experience within business supplies, wholesale or distribution would be advantageous.
