We are currently seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a well-established and organised fabrication company in Leicester. This is a contract position running through to the end of February, working within a clean, supportive, and productive workshop environment.
About the Role
- You will be working on a range of architectural and structural mild steel projects, welding material thicknesses from 3mm up to 20mm.
- The company operates to a high standard of planning and structure, offering a positive and professional atmosphere for skilled tradespeople.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding of mild steel components (3mm-20mm).
- Working from engineering drawings accurately and efficiently.
- Producing high-quality welds to meet company and client specifications.
- Maintaining a tidy and safe workspace in line with health and safety requirements.
- Contributing effectively to team goals while also working independently.
- Meeting production targets and maintaining consistent output.
Requirements
- Time-served experience or relevant qualifications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings confidently.
- Coded is beneficial but not essential.
- Good work ethic with a reliable and positive attitude.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
Hours of Work
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 17:30
- Friday: 07:00 - 09:30 (early finish)
- Additional hours available for those wishing to work overtime.
Overtime Rates
- Over 42 to 47 hours: Time and a quarter
- Over 47 hours: Time and a half
- Sundays: Double time
Pay
