We are recruiting skilled Mechanical Fitters to join a high-precision defence manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for the assembly, integration and fitting of complex mechanical systems to exact engineering specifications. This is not general workshop fitting. This is structured, documented, quality-critical build work within a regulated production environment.

Key Responsibilities- Mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies and full systems from engineering drawings
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and build instructions
- Use of hand tools, torque tools and precision measuring equipment
- Working to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Recording build documentation in line with QA procedures
- Supporting inspection and testing processes
- Ensuring compliance with safety and defence industry regulations
- Time-served Mechanical Fitter / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience reading and working from engineering drawings
- Experience in defence, aerospace, heavy vehicle, rail, marine or similar regulated industry preferred
- High attention to detail and quality mindset
- Comfortable working within structured production and documentation processes
- Experience in armoured vehicle, heavy plant or military platforms
- Background in hydraulics, drivetrains or mechanical integration
- Ex-military REME / Royal Engineers / RAF mechanical trades welcome
- Work on nationally significant defence programmes
