How to prepare for a job interview at Major Recruitment

Know Your Stuff

Make sure you brush up on your knowledge of electroplating solutions and the aerospace or chemical industry. Be ready to discuss specific techniques you've used in previous roles, as well as any troubleshooting experiences. This will show that you're not just familiar with the theory but have practical experience too.

Showcase Your Problem-Solving Skills

Prepare examples of how you've tackled challenges in the lab. Whether it was optimising bath performance or dealing with production batch testing, having concrete examples will demonstrate your ability to think critically and act decisively under pressure.

Understand the Company Culture

Research the company’s values and mission. Knowing what they stand for can help you tailor your answers to align with their goals. It also shows that you’re genuinely interested in being part of their team, not just looking for any job.

Ask Smart Questions

Prepare thoughtful questions about the role and the lab's operations. Inquire about the types of analyses they conduct or how they handle requests for Certificates of Conformity. This not only shows your enthusiasm but also helps you gauge if the company is the right fit for you.
