Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for our Kingswinford based client who are seeking a Metrology Engineer to join their engineering team. Duties and tasks will include:
- Measurement of production & NPI parts using contact and non-contact CMM's
- Development of measurement techniques for production and QC staff.
- Inputting into gauge concepts and design.
- Creating measurement programs for contact and non-contact CMM's
- Undertaking PPAP & Annual Layout Inspections
- Planning & executing MSA's to support the introduction of new equipment.
- Analysis of measurement data to improve measurement techniques and process performance.
- Calibration of measurement equipment.
- Ensure compliance to and maintenance of IATF16949, ISO9000 & ISO13485.
- Input into the NPI / APQP / PPAP process.
- Controlling technical specifications, standards and drawings G,D & T interpretation.

- MSA - SPC & Core Tools
- CMM / Optical equipment - Use & Programming
- Time served in previous positions
- Experience of working in a metrology laboratory environment.
- Good working knowledge of IAFT16949, ISO13485, ISO9001 & ISO14001
- MSA knowledge
- CMM - PCDIMIS & Nikon Nexiv Optical measurement & Programming skills essential
- Excellent understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and First principles of measurements.
- Statistical analysis of data.
