Major Recruitment are looking for 5 Class 1 HGV Drivers on a permanent basis for a client based in Rochester, Kent. This is an immediate start for the right candidates.
£17.90 per hour (PAYE)
~£22.37 after 40 hours (PAYE)
~ With overtime: up to £50,000 per year
~ Maximum approximately one night out per week
~ Orchards, Cold storage facilities, Pack houses at the main site
~ Major supermarket depots (e.g. Loading own vehicles, use of counterbalance forklifts / pump trucks when picking up stock from the warehouse (training provided they just need to be willing), occasional shunting duties on site, going to the main site in Kent every day and drive from there unless staying over somewhere)
Rotating shift patterns: Rolling rota system (days off change weekly)
~ 28 days holiday entitlement, an extra day every 2 years
Daily/overnight allowances for nights out
Maximum ~1 night out per week
Sleep in cab (own cab preferred where possible, however there are more drivers than vehicles so sometimes they will have to share till they buy more)
Bus driving bonus, this is occasional on site to get people down to pick the fruit.
