Information Technology Technical Specialist
My client is a global leader in FMCG and Food Manufacturing. They operate across 8 national UK sites covering international food production and supply chain management into 17 countries worldwide.
Role Overview
We are looking for an IT Technical Specialist to establish a fully functional in‑house IT specialist team to support three core sites in Glasgow, Scunthorpe and Burton. This is a brand new role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second line technical support for end users, troubleshooting O365, Windows 10, Windows Server 2016/19 and firewall security.
- Support the technical estate – desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, touchscreens and internal telephone systems.
- Assist with core networking systems including routers, switches, WiFi backups and VOIP systems.
- Manage service desk tickets using JIRA, ensuring requests are responded to within agreed SLA’s.
- Collaborate closely with the IT manager based at the Burton office and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- Commercial experience of troubleshooting 1st/2nd line level enquiries in an IT technical support vertical.
- Working knowledge of O365, Windows 10, Windows Server 2016/19 and firewall security.
- Core networking exposure of CISCO and DNS/DHCP knowledge is a plus.
- Industry certifications – CCNA or Network+ are desirable.
