Mon-Thurs: 7:00am-3:30pm | Fri: 7:00am-1:00pm

We are recruiting for a well-established precision engineering company in Halifax that is looking to add a skilled CNC Milling Setter Operator to its growing machining team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and motivated CNC Milling Setter Operator to join a busy, supportive, and modern engineering environment producing high-quality precision components.
The Role
- Setting & operating CNC Vertical Milling Machines
- Loading fixtures, vices & work holding equipment
- Installing & adjusting tooling
- Uploading & verifying CNC programmes
- Carrying out tool offsets & minor edits
- Producing components to tight tolerances
- Completing in-process quality inspections
This role would suit a hands-on CNC Milling Setter Operator who takes pride in producing quality work and enjoys working within a precision engineering environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a CNC Milling Setter Operator
- Strong understanding of CNC machining principles
- Ability to read engineering drawings confidently
- Experience using measuring equipment & gauges
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently & within a team
Desirable Skills
- Heidenhain controls experience
- Minor programme editing experience
- Precision engineering background
