- We're looking for an experienced
Insolvency Administrator to join a growing and supportive insolvency team.
This is an excellent opportunity for our client based in Dunfermline for someone with 2–3 years' insolvency experience who is looking to take ownership of their own portfolio while continuing to develop their career.
The Role
You will support managers in administering a portfolio of primarily corporate insolvency cases, with the opportunity to manage your own portfolio of smaller cases.
The role offers a varied workload and exposure to all aspects of insolvency administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the administration of corporate insolvency cases from appointment through to closure.
- Managing the realisation of assets, including book debts, property and cash at bank.
- Handling creditor claims and responding to creditor enquiries.
- Liaising with banks to obtain balances, statements and other required information.
- Assisting with employee matters, including preparing initial correspondence, processing employee claims and liaising with the Redundancy Payments Service (RPS) and pension providers.
- Preparing and submitting statutory returns, including those required by HMRC.
- Responding to telephone and email enquiries from stakeholders.
- Providing general administrative support to the insolvency team.
- Managing your own portfolio of smaller insolvency cases under supervision.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have
- At least 2–3 years' experience working within an insolvency team.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding service to both clients and colleagues.
- The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and document management systems. Experience with IPS Cloud is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A flexible and adaptable approach with strong attention to detail.
