The Opportunity
We are working with a national automotive logistics and fleet operation supporting one of the UK's largest vehicle remarketing networks. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join their night operations team. This is a critical role focused on keeping a high-volume fleet operational, compliant, and road-ready.
The Role
- Carry out service, maintenance and repair on HGV fleet vehicles
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and inspections
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults
- Ensure vehicles meet DVSA and O-Licence compliance standards
- Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately
- Support fleet uptime by ensuring vehicles are returned to service quickly
What We're Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in HGV Maintenance (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working on HGVs or heavy fleet vehicles
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently on night shifts
- Ex-military (REME / RLC vehicle mechanics) strongly encouraged to apply
