Major Recruitment Oldbury is delighted to recruit for a professional engineering organisation in the Darlaston area that is seeking an experienced Surface Grinder to join their busy engineering team.
Duties and tasks will include:
- Working within a high‑pressure machining environment.
- Meeting deadlines and using initiative to overcome problems.
- Resolving production issues.
- Operating Jones & Shipman 540 / 1400 / 540X & 1400X series surface grinders.
Under certain circumstances, overtime and extra hours may be required to complete the task at hand and keep production flowing.
Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following:
- Experience on Jones & Shipman Format5 CNC surface grinders would be an advantage.
- Applicants must be capable of reading engineering drawings, working on their own initiative, and working as part of a team.
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 6 am to 6 pm. Parking is available.
