Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Soldering Operative to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and soldering electronic components to exacting quality standards, directly contributing to the manufacture of high-performance audio and broadcast equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform precision soldering of electronic components onto circuit boards and assemblies
- Inspect work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with technical specifications
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and health & safety guidelines at all times
- Work collaboratively with the production team to achieve daily output targets and deadlines
- Identify, report, and escalate any production defects or issues
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workstation
Requirements
- Previous experience in soldering, ideally within electronics or manufacturing environments
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity
- Experience with PCBs and electronic assembly processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions
- Strong commitment to quality, precision, and consistency
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Hours, Pay & Contract
- Hours: 07:50–17:10 Monday–Thursday, 07:50–12:30 Friday
- Rate: £13.00 per hour, to start dependent on experience; team leader paid more – paid monthly
