Major IT are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading cutting edge business that specialises in bespoke automation and robotics engineering. Operating in the heart of West Yorkshire, my client has seen significant growth over the last 5 years due to working on several large scale engineering projects across the UK.
As a result of continued growth, my client is looking to scale up the engineering team over the next 12 months with immediate requirements for a Software Engineering specialist ideally within the industrial / electrical engineering space.
As a seasoned software engineer, you will be well conversed in developing, modifying and optimising industrial automation systems with hands-on experience of PLC programming and some understanding of robotics automation technology such as ABB or Omron. Additionally, you will be a technical expert with a strong background in troubleshooting and resolving automation and control system issues remotely and across customer sites, and support the testing of automated machinery.
Whilst access to a company car is available for this role, you will be required to drive across various UK sites and hold a full UK driving license. Whilst not essential, it would be useful to have some knowledge of SCADA or HMI development including any industrial network exposure.
