We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Miller Programmer to join our precision engineering team in Atherstone. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with milling machines and a strong background in programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision parts.
Location: Atherstone
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00-16:30
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000
Responsibilities:
- Programming, setting, and operating our milling machine to manufacture high-quality, precision components.
- Reading and interpreting complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
- Selecting appropriate tooling, setting up fixtures, and verifying machine settings.
- Carrying out your own quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the production process.
- Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest quality and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller Programmer.
- The ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and understand geometric tolerances.
- Experience with programming CNC machines using relevant software (e.g., CAD / CAM software) and G-code.
- Experience working on a variety of materials including Stainless Steel and Aluminium.
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
