Working alongside other technicians to assemble equipment in line with design specifications. Preparing shipments ready for delivery and to a high standard. Maintaining the workshop in line with high standards of safety and cleanliness.
As an Assembly Technician, you will:

Undertake assembly activities on time, on spec and within the allocated number of hours for each job

Assemble equipment, following product design specifications and new product specifications

Identify and resolve any problems or faults, suggesting practical and technical solutions to the Project Engineers and Project Managers

Prepare and pack equipment and paperwork ready for shipment

Driving vans and making deliveries/collections in a timely and professional manor

Adhere to the highest standards of health and safety and the Company Health and Safety Policy all aspects of work

Organise the workshop and stores, manage and maintain stock control and audit and catalogue all stock

Be proactive in suggesting new methods and techniques to improve efficiency

Undertake any other duties or responsibilities as reasonably requested by company management to meet the needs of the business
A successful Assembly Technician will have

Experience in manufacturing or production is highly desirable

Minimum of GCSE in English and Maths (or equivalent) is essential
-
A NVQ level 3 or above in a technical subject such as engineering or mechanical manufacturing is highly desirable

Full clean driving license

Understanding of Health and Safety requirements in practice

Van / forklift driving experience is preferable

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential
