An exciting opportunity is available for an Accounts Assistant to join a supportive and growing team.
You'll work with a varied portfolio of SME clients while developing your technical skills and building strong client relationships.
The Role
- Work with a varied range of SME clients
- Prepare accounts for limited companies, LLPs, partnerships and sole traders
- Prepare management accounts
- Prepare corporate and personal tax returns
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards
- Communicate with clients and HMRC
- Liaise with colleagues to provide a coordinated service
- Maintain regular client contact and deliver a proactive service
About You
- At least 2 years' experience in an accounting practice
- Experience preparing FRS102 Section 1A company accounts, partnership and sole trader accounts
- Part-qualified or qualified by experience
- Corporation and personal tax experience is desirable
- Strong technical and IT skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines
- Organised, adaptable and commercially minded
- A strong team player with a commitment to excellent client service
