An exciting opportunity is available for an Accounts Assistant to join a supportive and growing team.

You'll work with a varied portfolio of SME clients while developing your technical skills and building strong client relationships.

The Role

  • Work with a varied range of SME clients
  • Prepare accounts for limited companies, LLPs, partnerships and sole traders
  • Prepare management accounts
  • Prepare corporate and personal tax returns
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards
  • Communicate with clients and HMRC
  • Liaise with colleagues to provide a coordinated service
  • Maintain regular client contact and deliver a proactive service

About You

  • At least 2 years' experience in an accounting practice
  • Experience preparing FRS102 Section 1A company accounts, partnership and sole trader accounts
  • Part-qualified or qualified by experience
  • Corporation and personal tax experience is desirable
  • Strong technical and IT skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Organised, adaptable and commercially minded
  • A strong team player with a commitment to excellent client service
