Major Recruitment are currently seeking an Account Manager for our prestigious client based in Hampshire area.
Developing new business, retaining existing business in the wine and beverage sector.
Job Role
Management of the top wine accounts within the region
Delivering quality new wine business in the region from existing or new accounts
Maximising wine performance within the region through hosting key events, tastings and training.
Supporting our clients wine business in Key and National accounts
New Business
-
Identify key wine opportunities in the region and implement a plan to target them.

Open new wine accounts, working alongside the wider team.

Maintaining and updating a live customer prospect list
Account Retention
-
Ongoing account management of top wine accounts.
-
Wine reviews to be undertaken half yearly with wine accounts on region

Responsibility for Wine Development Plans within Key Accounts as and when agreed
Market Penetration

Maximise wine opportunities through quarterly account reviews

Minimum of 15 days per month in trade to include:

Prospecting

Existing account visits

Training

Commercially building wine lists in-line with market trends

Maximising profitability by identifying our clients own brand opportunities

Presenting a wine slot at each monthly depot meeting

Management of samples
Reporting

Completing weekly call logs and sending them to the Line Manager

Attending monthly meetings with the Line Manager to discuss sales performance
-
Attending quarterly meetings with the Regional Sales Manager to discuss depot wine performance
Team Work
-
To be fully prepared for Management, RSM, WDM meetings and 1:1s
-
Work closely with the Depot Managers, Stock Controllers, Telesales and Wine Team

Take ownership of Regional Wine Tastings and wine led events
To be considered, you will need

Commercial experience of selling wine (on-trade preferred)

A good track record in sales and meeting growth targets

Knowledge of the wine trade and trends

WSET Level 3 Award in Wines.
