Production Operatives – Ashton-in-Makerfield
Major Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading client based in Ashton in Makerfield, Wigan WN4.
Due to continued growth and increased customer demand, we are looking for multiple Production Operatives to join a busy, fast paced manufacturing team on a temporary ongoing basis.
The Role
As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured, packed, and prepared to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Packing finished products ready for dispatch
- Labelling products accurately and efficiently
- Preparing raw materials for the production process
- Palletising finished goods safely and securely
- Operating production machinery following full training
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets
What We're Looking For

Rotating weekly shifts (Monday to Friday)
- 06:00 – 14:00
- 14:00 – 22:00
- 37.5 hours per week
- Overtime available based on business requirements
- Pay rate: £12.71 per hour
Overtime is paid at time and a half Monday to Saturday and double time up to 10pm on a Sunday.
