PRODUCTION MANAGER – ELECTRICAL / ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING An experienced Production Manager with a background in Electrical or Mechanical equipment manufacturing and rigorous safety standards is sought by an established Engineering business in the Nottingham area YOUR NEW JOB The role involves driving continuous improvement and change management to develop a culture of attention to detail and a proactive approach to high quality production in order to drive growth. You will be expected to improve the skill levels, competence and professionalism of a small team responsible for the assembly, testing and despatch of specialist equipment. There are five key areas that you will be responsible for; Production Planning, Quality Control, Team Development, Resource Management and Process Improvement. Duties will include Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands in agreed timescales whilst ensuring the highest possible standards of safety are observed. Implement effective inspection regimes and auditing process to ensure quality standards are maintained with corrective and preventative action processes in accordance with the SHEQ policies of the business. Analyse production processes to identify inefficiencies and implement strategies for improvement, including adopting new technologies and methods. Develop and implement resource management strategies to optimise efficiencies whilst identifying areas for cost reduction. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE The successful candidate for this role will have the following skills and qualifications: – 3 years\’ experience of Production Management in an electrical/ mechanical engineering environment. Experience of working in a sfety-critical environment is needed as you will need to meet exacting indystry standards. Ideal industries would be Aerospace, Rail, Power Distribution, Oil & Gas, Special Purpose Machinery, Pressure Vessels or Automotive. Experience of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques is needed and you will also have experience of product testing throughout the assembly and production process.
