An exciting role has become available for a Field Service Electrician with a passion for renewable energy and sustainability within the Industrial Renewable Energy sector to cover the Hampshire, Dorset, Surrey and West Sussex area Based remotely the role will involve working on-site, carrying out preventative maintenance, reactionary services and predominately ensuring specialist Power Units run correctly and efficiently. Key responsibilities will include: – Action a variety of onsite Work Orders including the installation, de-rig, operation, maintenance and changeovers of the Power Units Work on both AC & DC systems, including battery inspections and swap outs Conducing electrical testing & inspection whilst adhering to reporting requirements Production of relevant supporting inspection reports Advanced fault finding on both electrical and mechanical systems Join an On-call rota to action Emergency Work OrdersYOUR SKILLS The successful candidate will be a time-served Electrician with an ECS /JOB Gold Card, 18th Edition certification and ideally have passed an AM2 assessment. Experience of working with AC and DC systems, specifically UPSs and batteries is needed as are good problem-solving and decision-making skills and accurate documentation skills. You will need to be able to demonstrate a good theoretical knowledge as well as good practical skills. Experience of installing and repairing electro-mechanical experience is essential as is a full UK Driving Licence and the ability to travel in the UK and Internationally when needed. There is light physical effort with frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials and use of hand tools and a lot of moving around involves so you must be able to pass a safety critical medical and be able to work in confined spaces and at heights BENEFITS AND CAREER PROSPECTS Salary up to £44K + bonus, overtime and call out payments (average annual pay about £60-65K) Benefits include a company vehicle, annual bonus scheme up to 8% matched pension contribution, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, private healthcare and dental cover, death in service and exposure to exciting decarbonisation projects within a number of sectors including the entertainment industry.
