Our client, a well-established and busy sheet metal manufacturing company based in Chadderton, is currently recruiting for a Fitters Mate to join their installation team. Working alongside an experienced Installation Fitter as part of a two-person team, you will assist with the installation of flue ductwork systems at customer sites throughout the UK. This is a physically demanding, site-based role that offers full training and the opportunity to develop specialist installation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the installation of flue ductwork systems at customer sites nationwide.
- Supporting the lead fitter with loading, unloading and handling materials and equipment.
- Ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with site regulations.
- Maintaining a professional approach whilst representing the company on customer premises.
- Travelling to sites across the UK as required.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous site-based construction, engineering, installation or labouring experience.
- Ability to safely lift and carry loads of up to 20kg.
- Comfortable working at height.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including early starts, late finishes and occasional overnight stays when required.
