Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for our highly professional and expanding Wednesbury client, who are seeking a General Machinist to join their successful engineering workshop.
Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4:30pm & Friday 7am to 1:00pm (30mins. Lunch break).
Duties and tasks will include
Cutting, grinding, drilling, measurement & inspection, working to specifications, soldering, etc.
Assisting with off-loading & booking-in raw materials Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment Continuous improvement jobs Working within a quality system to ISO 9001:2015 Working to job instructions, engineering drawings and specifications Work within the quality, environmental compliance procedures/systems, organisational and health and safety regulations.
Have input to potential problems that can occur within the engineering operations and how they can be avoided.
Prepare the work area and equipment.
Obtain and follow the appropriate job documentation and work instructions.
Extract the necessary data and information from specifications and related documentation.
Carry out the engineering activities in line with their job role.
