Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for an award winning engineering and manufacturing organisation on the outskirts of Birmingham City Centre who are seeking an experience Warehouse & Logistics Team Leader to join their bust warehouse. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.15pm and a 12.30pm finish on a Friday. Parking is available. Duties and tasks will include: ▪ Team leading with hands on approach. ▪ Ensuring all key personnel in the warehouse, goods inwards and metal finishing are managed effectively and efficiently, and that work is prioritised in line with external and internal customer needs and enquiries. ▪ Responsible for despatching of goods to customers in a timely manner and eco cost friendly efficient. Correct stock labelling, ensuring all paperwork is authorized. correctly and production parts are received into the warehouse. ▪ Ensuring stock control of all packaging materials required. ▪ Dealing with Customs clearance documents. ▪ Managing warehouse consumables within warehouse constraints ▪ Stock- take responsibility for all finished stock in the warehouse and metal finishing. ▪ Ensure all overs due are progress chased. ▪ Responsibility for emailing to customers when arranging couriers on a daily basis to suit operational needs. To ensure the correct quality and output from the metal finishing department are delivered. ▪ Ensure all heat treatment duties are completed. ▪ Health and Safety Managing agreed levels and looking for options to improve 5S level. Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following: ▪ ESSENTIAL Team leader/ Supervisory experience ▪ The ability to work on own initiative – a keen and professional approach to work; ▪ Fork Lift Truck licence. ▪ Ability to work with focus and concentration; ▪ Attention to detail; ▪ Good Numeracy and Literacy skills; ▪ Route course analysis and problem solving abilities to correct issues ▪ Must have previous warehouse experience; ▪ Computer literacy; ▪ Previous packing experience ▪ Good communicator – must interface with Customers, Suppliers and employees at all levels of business.
