Major Recruitment Oldbury is delighted to be recruiting for our highly professional leisure client, who is seeking an inspiring, motivated, and enthusiastic Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor to join their successful and busy gym. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week with eight-hour shifts, five days a week. The gym is open from Monday to Sunday, 6am to 10pm, so flexibility to work within these hours is essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting gym inductions for new members to ensure they feel confident and supported in their fitness journey.
- Delivering personalized training programs tailored to individual member goals.
- Leading dynamic and engaging Les Mills group fitness classes and other sessions as required.
- Supervising and promoting the safe and correct use of all gym equipment, maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.
- Providing expert advice on exercise techniques, training plans, and overall wellness.
- Ensuring members are aware of club rules, safety procedures, and regulations to maintain safety and enjoyment.
- Building strong relationships with members to encourage participation, retention, and a positive fitness culture.
- Supporting the development and promotion of fitness programs, events, and member engagement activities.
Candidate requirements:
- Level 3 Personal Training qualification
- Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification
- Experience delivering Les Mills group fitness classes or other group exercise programs
- A passion for fitness and a strong desire to help members achieve their goals
- Excellent communication and motivational skills
- Strong awareness of gym safety and best practices
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required
