Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative / Overhead Crane Operator to join a well-established busy precision tube manufacturer in Oldbury. You MUST have experience operating an overhead crane to apply. This is a great opportunity for individuals with steel industry experience, seeking a stable, full-time role with the potential to secure a permanent contract.
Job Details:
- Location: Oldbury
- Pay Rate: £13.35ph
- Contract: Temp to Perm
- Shift Pattern: Rotating weekly shifts 6:00am - 2:00pm, 2:00pm - 10:00pm
- You must be able to work BOTH shifts.
- Monday to Friday - Full time
- Overtime may be available
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely handling and moving steel tube bundles within the warehouse
- Operating overhead cranes and lifting equipment
- Loading and unloading deliveries and outgoing orders
- Picking, preparing, and dispatching customer orders
- Carrying out quality checks on products before storage and dispatch
- Labelling and tracking stock accurately
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the Steel industry
- Overhead crane experience is essential
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work as part of a team and in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
- Flexible and reliable with a willingness to work rotating shifts
