Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter in Saint Columb for our client, an award-winning market leader within water treatment solutions - working predominantly within the wastewater industry carrying out installation, servicing, maintenance and remedial works on mechanical process equipment at operational treatment sites across the UK. As a mechanical fitter you will work outdoors on operational treatment sites and the role will include regular travel and working away from home Duties and Responsibilities: Mechanical installation and assembly of equipment. Planned servicing and preventative maintenance. Reactive maintenance and remedial works. Removal and replacement of mechanical components. Dismantling and reassembly of equipment for inspection, repair or servicing. Working with motors, chains, sprockets, seals and other mechanical components. Drilling, cutting, grinding and general mechanical fitting. Safe and competent use of hand and power tools. Identifying mechanical defects and assisting with fault finding. Working from drawings, instructions and RAMS. Working around existing operational plant and equipment. Confined space working where required and appropriately trained. General site set-up, housekeeping and packing down on completion of works.
