Major Recruitment are currently looking for a CCTV Control room Operative in Birmingham. If you are considering sending an application, make sure to hit the apply button below after reading through the entire description.

FULL TIME 36 Hours per week; usually 3 x 12 hour shifts which can be day/nights and weekends at £12.80 per hour. Shifts are from 7am till 7pm or 7pm till 7am.

You will play an integral role in helping to make our residents feel safer, drawing on your local knowledge to help develop key priorities for the neighbourhoods you serve.

Day to Day Duties:

  • Provide a professional and effective public CCTV/Door entry monitoring service working closely with the Mobile Patrol Officers and Night Time Security Service Supervisors, helping to provide safe, clean and secure neighbourhoods across the city of Birmingham.
  • Ensure integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of all information gained is secure at all times by strict compliance.
  • Respond to calls of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) or any breaches of tenancy, by initially investigating, recording findings and forwarding to a Mobile Patrol Officer team, directing them in line with an agreed escalation process for further action.
  • Maintain a log of activities during your shift and prepare incident reports regarding repairs and enquiries of a non-urgent nature, including producing detailed electronic incident reports on actions.
  • Check security equipment and radios at the beginning of each shift and ensure that you are able to communicate with your shift patrol teams.
  • All duties carried out in the control room are compliant with ISO 900, BS 7958, BS 5979, BS 8418 and N.S.I approved quality standards.
  • You will be required to undertake any necessary training to ensure compliance with these standards.
  • You must wear the official uniform and identity badge at all times whilst on duty.
