Major Recruitment Oldbury are delighted to be recruiting for our growing Sutton Coldfield client who are seeking an ambitious Quality Engineer to join their manufacturing business.

Responsibilities
- Maintain, improve, and manage the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
- Plan and conduct internal audits and support external certification audits.
- Manage quality documentation, compliance requirements, and quality performance metrics.
- Lead investigations into internal and external quality issues, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve quality concerns and drive continuous improvement.
- Perform inspections using shadowgraphs, gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other inspection equipment.
- Develop and improve quality control processes and inspection methods.
- Support supplier quality management and customer quality requirements.
- Contribute to wider business improvement initiatives and provide support across departments as required.
- Help foster a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a quality engineering or quality assurance role within manufacturing or machining.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and experience maintaining certified quality systems.
- Experience conducting audits and managing quality documentation.
- Proficiency with standard inspection equipment and quality tools.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organisational skills.
- Self‑motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment.
